BCC includes free shipping on all combination boxes. Half/Whole cow orders are delivered for free within our delivery range, otherwise they can be picked up, Shipping for halves/whole cows is available at an additional cost.
The order is shipped via UPS. The beef is packed in a styrofoam cooler inside of a recyclable cardboard box. We pack it hard frozen and verify the recipient will be home to receive the delivery.
What to expect upon arrival
Customers should expect beef that is cold to the touch, NOT entirely frozen, especially those in 2 day range, as is standard for all meat delivery by mail.
+ It should look and feel like beef that you just brought back from the grocery store. The standard is refrigerated coldness of 38 degrees or colder.
+ Thinner/smaller cuts are likely to have defrosted. They should be still clearly cold to the touch and look appealing.
+ The difference between a slightly defrosted cut and a entirely defrosted compromised cut is that the blood has completely left the entire cut and is pooling at the bottom of the package and the meat has lost its color. This is still likely “usable” but not ideal and not what you paid for. If this happens, please contact us and we will always make it right!

If you ever receive a package that is not at top quality, we will always make it right. As a company that ships a refrigerated product via mail, we can’t always control what happens in transit. However, we know you’re spending your hard earned money to support our small business. So in the event of an issue, you can be assured that we will either replace any/all affected cuts or refund your order if you’d like. As company policy, we never force customers to pay for beef that they cannot use. We don’t just want the one-time sale, we want to be your trusted provider for years to come.

Arrives at your door (no signature required). We text to confirm the day before that you will be at the address before we ship.
If there is an unexpected delay or your order is damaged in transit, we are always willing to either replace or refund.
Our inventory is stored in Schulenburg and we do not have a farm stand, so we do not generally offer pickup, but you can always request it in the special notes field at checkout. Bastrop area customers can pickup, or we can personally bring it to your door!
