Well, we have just hit the hottest part of summer and all I can think about is ‘when is the fall showing up?’  It’s almost unbearable to do things in the heat except refill fresh water in the troughs for the cows. I know they appreciate it though! They sleep and relax under the shade near the house, getting fresh drinks from us. We’re practically running a resort.

Since there’s less possible to do outside, we’ve been hard at work indoors making some big updates, improvements and plans for BCC! Things always slow down here in August, but that means faster turnarounds on orders! Our express boxes have been shipping in only a few days after ordering. Most of our online orders have shortened to 1-2 week turnaround. Halves and wholes are down to four to six weeks (way better than when we were backed up three months!)   

And we are also thinking of some new offerings come this fall!  We’re thinking beef sausage, more shipping boxes, and potentially a subscription CSA-type box that would arrive on your schedule!
